Allah’s Beloved Messenger: Prophet Jesus (ʿĪsā, Son of Mary)
Prophet Jesus (ʿĪsā, the Messiah) – son of Mary – is one of the most beloved messengers of Allah. He came after Prophet John (Yahya) and around 600 years before the arrival of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Qur’an describes his miraculous birth: Mary (Maryam) was chosen by Allah, and she gave birth to Jesus purely by His command, without a father. From childhood, Allah granted Jesus wisdom, knowledge, and prophethood. By Allah’s permission, he performed many miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, and creating a bird from clay that came to life. Jesus called people to worship Allah alone and follow His guidance. Allah also saved Jesus from crucifixion, raising him to the heavens, and he will return to the earth near the end of time to restore justice and truth.
